GOD’S PAISSION FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
RIGHTEOUS: (is what God Is)
Act in a just, upright manner; virtuous, fair and just; Moral: dealing with or capable of making the distinction between right and wrong in conduct; good or right in conduct, character, standards and habits with respect to right and wrong; Principle: a fundamental truth, law, doctrine, or motivating force upon which others are based; (integrity)
GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS:
From the beginning of time, God has let us know His passion for righteousness.
Genesis 3:1-24 (Adam and Eve) Genesis 6:–9: (Noah) “And the LORD said unto Noah, come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation”. (Genesis 7:1)
And in Exodus 2:– Deuteronomy 34: (Moses) Whom the LORD knew face to face.
Every commandment He gave them was truth, law, doctrine in integrity and uprightness.
Everyone knew the first commandment from the old to the young. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Exodus20:3) All knew He stood for righteousness from generation to generation “I have been young, and now am old: yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. (Psalm37:25)
“There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.”(Psalm14:5)
He was their King, Judge, Provider, All Sovereign, LORD God Almighty, Pure and Holy
Omnipotent, Absolute, Eternal, Omnipresent, All Sufficient, Majestic, All Powerful,
Great I Am, Creator of all things, Shekinah Glory, Deliverer, Guide, The Living GOD, Perfect, hater of idolatry, Beginning and the End, Etc.
All who came into relations with Him learned and knew of His righteousness, power and authority. A GOD who made Himself known.
He fought their battles, directed their course, and victory was always attributed to His intervention. He was not just their guide but He also was in the midst of His people.
His people made distinguish between their God and gods of other nations.
They began to learn by bitter experience, when they had broken fidelity with their God.
Then in the Book of Samuel, God begin to choose and call prophets that would wholly be loyal to His passion for righteousness. For then, God’s people were not able to see all
The rottenness and corruption of their time. His special relationship with His people meant they were responsible to do right, not a privilege to do wrong.
To many times they failed to comprehend God’s passion for righteousness. It is impossible to be into touch with a God who is supreme, holy and righteous without at least making righteousness an essential way of life.
Just like God’s people failed to bring His ultimate principles for which God stood for, into their daily lives or perish. They failed to be His instruments in making Himself known to the world. Sadly to say some were waiting for the DAY of the LORD to get a revelation of God’s passion for righteousness.
IS THERE A REMNANT IN THIS TIME AND AGE?
There are many benefits in God’s word for those who chose to walk in righteousness.
We must devote ourselves utterly to Him, to be able to offer to the world a picture of God immeasurably superior to any thing that had yet entered into the mind of man.
UNWAVERING LOYALTY TO GOD!!
We must measure ourselves solely by God’s standards, not to our own idealistic principles which will lead us astray. “For they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. (Romans10:3)
RIGHTEOUS VS WICKED “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:
Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Psalm 45:7) God is a Holy God and we must be a Holy people, nothing but purity and righteousness will satisfy Him.
God did not spare the angels that sinned, (cast them down to hell) Nor did He spare the old world, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. (Save only Noah and his family that believed) Nor did He spare the cities of
“HE WILL EXCUTE HIS JUDGMENT “
Judgment or Love of God chose you this day whom ye will serve, the gods of this world or God and His righteousness!
CALL to INTIMACY: (with a God with a passion for righteousness)
The Love of God for man is the holiest of all human relationship. Involves at its highest, the consecration of one personality to another. “So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil (Proverbs 3: 4 -7) the highest method of friendship will be that in which the mutual surrender of body, mind, soul and spirit, to a God of Love and righteousness.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (Psalm 51:17)
The lack of love in the heart of man toward God, due to the fact, we don’t know Him or are ignorant of who He IS. For we cannot love a person with whom we are not acquainted in any way with.
In the New Testament Jesus (God manifested in the flesh) shows us His love for a people that would love and believe in righteousness. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my Name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16) Whatever He had to pass through, on calvery to save us from unrighteousness. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Before Jesus returned unto heaven, He let them know through His teaching what He stood for. John 14:26 says “But the comforter, which is the HolyGhost, whom the father will send in my name ,he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
They knew they needed this comforter, this Holy Ghost that would lead them to righteousness. The disciples he chose would carry out His passion for righteousness.
For us to carry out His passion for righteousness we must get hungry and thirsty for God and His righteousness, deep down in our spirit regardless of whether He ever does a miracle or not. A relationship with Him that will take us beyond just showing up at the house of God. Remember the day Jesus called us and how in love and joyful we were. We might not have understood everything that day, but one thing we did know is that Jesus had called us for a purpose. What will it take to go back to those days when Jesus
Set our hearts on fire for His kingdom. To be so in love with Him that nothing in this world mattered. To be wholly given to what God’s will is in our life. To let the Holy Ghost be manifested in us.
When we first met Jesus, we wanted to know everything about Him, feel His touch, stay close to Him, talk to him, let Him speak to us through His word everyday, and share him with others. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42: 1- 2) Enjoying what we had and have yet today, and still hunger for more. More of God and His presence. “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)
Desire Him – Think on Him – Need Him; it’s all up to us. (The devil won’t stop you)
“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4)
Once we are filled, going on to the next glory, He satisfies our longing, and He always leaves room for us to hunger after something more. (Don’t be filled and stay in that one glory) Keep on hungering, keep on climbing, there’s so much more. “Deep calleth unto deep, at the noice of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.” (Psalm 42:7) To be held in the grip of the Love of God; and be His friend. “Ye are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.” (John 15:14)
He is worthy of all our love because He first loved us. “We love Him, because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
Jesus said “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?—- (John 14:9)
We are the ones that rob ourselves of God’s abiding fellowship with Him.
PRAYER: (pray to a God with a passion for righteousness)
“And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. (Ezekiel 22: 30)
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
“Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit in me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (Psalm 51: 9-12)
When we know it is the right thing to do, yet going through the motions of prayer, without faith, is powerless. “Having a form of godiness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”(2 Timothy 3:5) Have faith in God. “For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shalt not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”(Mark 11:22-23)
Faith Is Now! “GOD IS” (not God did or God shall)
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
WHEN IN DOUBT – WORSHIP HIM! It is a powerful weapon we use against the devil. (He will flee because God inhabits the praises of his people)
When God shows up, devils depart. When Light comes, darkness goes.
Sad to say we don’t have the desire much less the need to pray.
How can this lost world have faith in us and our God, when we do not have confidence in God and each other? We are powerless, prayerless and purposeless.
WE are so out of touch with God we can’t allow the HolyGhost to display His power.
YET WE HAVE THE ANSWER!
The presence and power of God expressed through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” (Hebrews 10:19) Seeking an intimately relationship with Jesus to discover what is on His heart and join Him, thru prayer. (Not what is on our heart?)
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
Coming together, so when the devil fights one member of the family of God, the others will get on our knees and get in the spirit and bombard the devil with HolyGhost fire and power. “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)
Hearing our grandma’s crying out to God at all times and in the HolyGhost, made an impact in our lives, and when they are gone, we wonder who would keep us in prayer and not be left hanging by a thread that can break at any time. “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angels hand.” (Revelation 8:3-4)
Pray like never before till God opens the windows of heaven so we can be all that he has called us to be in Christ Jesus. “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.(Colossians 1:9 )
To pay the price is when our prayer is, “that no one or anything is more dear or loved than Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.” And live up to it!
God hears and answers our prayers in our natural –language, but He also has provided a
Supernatural form of prayer that transcends natural-language prayer.
It is a spiritual way of praying with its own unique set of benefits for the believers.
“Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should
Pray for as we ought: but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”(Rom.8:26-27) The constant infilling of the HolyGhost keep us full of the mighty power of God.
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself —(1 Cor.14:4)
We are build up to carry out the work of God in our time. “But ye beloved, build up yourself on your most holy faith, praying in the HolyGhost.” (Jude 20)
Satan is at war now, more than every before, for he has very little time left, and we cannot war against him without the HolyGhost!
Satan is not our greatest threat. IT’S SELF! We need to know and not be guessing what measures we need, to secure and find favour with God. We can not afford to give him erroneous worship (lip service only) “This people draweth night unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.”(Matt.15:8)
Or by doing a few sacrifices, a fast or two, one special day of humiliation and prayer.
THE HOLYGHOST IS JESUS IN US!!
SPIRIT FILLED: (living a life of righteousness)
“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Rom.8:10) Also as in Matthew 6:33, when our goal is to put the
What does not make sense to the world makes a great deal of sense in the
To build a strong spirit in our inner man, through His word, for it is light, life, health and strength. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”(Psalm 119:11)
Developing a consistant prayer life and in the HolyGhost. Daily even when we don’t feel like it. Don’t say “I am to busy”, so is the devil, he’s busy seeking whom he may devour and busy looking for a chance to enter into our life.
Many times we have read Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the son’s of God”. It’s a choice. Satan knows that if we choose not to be led by the spirit of God, he wins! (Bringing chaos into our life) And keeping us from our great potential in Christ Jesus. “Quench not the spirit. Despise not prophesying. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. (1Thess.5:19-23)
“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph.5:27)
When we are led by the spirit of God, we understand our rights and privileges in Christ Jesus. (And it will scare the devil) When we are led by the spirit, we are able to confront devils and win before they ever cause destruction in the natural.
When we have an overruling passion for God and His righteousness, He will come from His dimension into ours.
And it will enable us to recognize and know when God is sending and doing things in the spirit, in our time.
Hungering and thirsting for the things of God before they ever come. (Waiting for the next wave) When it gets here, we’ll know what it is, and get into it. (Other wise we’ll be like those that say “those people are so dramatic”.)
Men and women who stand for righteousness can see the spring of all the rottenness and corruption of their time.
To be led by the spirit of God is not an anointing it’s a choice. (Sad to say many are waiting on an anointing)
To be empowered and subdued to be held as in a vise “By the Love of God”.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God , I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams; (Acts 2:17)
What caused the early church to turn the world up-side down? The power of the holy ghost living within them. “Even the spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:17)
Yes, our minds made up! Jesus on our minds! Talking about His promises, always singing of His goodness, mercy and grace all day long.
There’s no room for sorrow, bitterness, hate, and loneness or strive. We will make it!
No matter how much time passes, no matter what we go through, we cannot afford to lose the heavenly vision. What Joy! “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full”. (John 15:11)
Spiritually and Carnality are facts of life, we can’t get rid of either one.
We must decide which one is going to dominate our life. (The supernatural is more powerful than the natural)
“What! Know ye not that your body is the temple of the holy ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s”. (1 Corinthians. 6:19-20)
OBEDIENCE: (to God’s righteousness)
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians. 2:5,8)
As we proclaim the gospel we are called to a life of service to Jesus Christ, to our fellow believers and to the world. “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake”. (2 Cor. 4:5) we are called to witness in and to the world.
When we believe that it starts with God and his passion for righteousness.
When we believe that a life of continual obedience to God and His word will bring us life and not death. “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness ? (Romans 6:16)
“As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1: 14-16)
When we believe in God’s character and purpose, believe in His power and the blood of Jesus. Believe that He will hear us when we call on His name. Believe that He will never leave us nor forsake us, no matter what happens in our life.
“When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God)He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them”. (Deuteronomy. 4:30-31)
So many wonderful benefits God has for those who believe and obey His voice.
“And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (Hebrews 5:9)
Even to believe that living in close relationship with God will carry us to new levels and depths in the spirit. Believe He will take us where we’ve never been before.
HIS WORD IS TRUTH!
Believe what God is saying to this generation, through His word and HolySpirit.
It is easier to work for God than to work with God, because when we work with God we must believe totally on Him and what He is doing! Believing even the impossible!!
We have no excuse before God for it’s all in His word. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away”. (Matt. 24:35)
Our problem is we hardly ever open this Holy Book, How can we believe and obey?
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. (Galatians. 6:7) For God is not a man that he should go back on His word. What He says stands. “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:26) (When we don’t believe in His word we disrespect Him)
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”.(John5:24)
We must pay the price of obedience every day of our life, not just this week, maybe tomorrow, or next month. Every day even when no one is watching us. Praying in the Holy Ghost, fighting the devil and shouting the victory!
“Wherefore my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the son of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world”. (Philippians 2: 12, 13, 15)
Obedience or disobedience will mean nothing to us until we recognize the higher authority of the one giving the orders. “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey God rather than men”. (Acts 5: 29)
“Woe to Me” if I refuse to believe and obey!
THE FLESH: (life of unrighteousness)
“Wherein time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (Ephesians. 2: 2-3)
Never forget that what we do is dynamically related to what we believe. And what we believe is based on knowledge and faith. If a man thinks right he will act right. If he thinks wrong he won’t act right.
This world which we live in is two – sided.
League with God Vs League with devil (no fence sitters)
No one can serve two masters. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)
We have been redeemed and called to serve the redeemer.
This world is evil, and apposed to God. We need to take God’s word (Bible) seriously and realize the dangers of not abiding in the word. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
(1 John 5: 4) To those who are called upon to love God with all our hearts, all substitutes are forbidden
“Not rich toward God” Is putting things before God, materialistic things, money, land; houses, etc; even power, fame and applause all bring priorities and commitment, other than God. Both Abraham and Moses had wealth yet their affection was set on the things of God. (Hebrews 11:9-10 and 11:24-26)
In Matthew 13: 22, Is when we let the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word of God, and be unfruitful.
Remember Satan is identified as the prince of this world.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is enemy of God”. (James 4:4)
The work of God is greatly hindered by carnal believers whose lives make the cross of Jesus Christ of no effect. Standards of conduct and barriers of holiness, being broken by licentiousness, impurity and sexual irregularities.
Which only draw inappropriate attention to one’s own person? (“For many walk, of which I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is their shame, who mind earthly things”.) (Philippians 3:19) and (1 Timothy 2:9)
A spirit of compliance is in this generation both in the old and young.
Those who once knew the Love of God at one time and who Satan have already blinded them to believe his lies. It clearly states in the word of God, “For if after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known it, to turn from the Holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. (2 Peter 2: 20-22)
Satan is powerfully determined to undermine and defeat the children of God. Skillful and diabolical, he has an infinite variety of means at his disposal to accomplish his evil designs. “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light”. (2 Cor. 11:14) He works with believers and non believers both. “He has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians. 4:4)
A TIME BOMB has been exploding in slow motion through out our society, destroying millions of lives (even our children and grandchildren) and crippling the soul of
Everything in this world is all about SELF! Parents today, sadly to say are being such a negative example to our children, teens, and young adults too.
Our children are not innocent (free from sin, moral wrong, guilt or evil) anymore.
Small children 3-5 years already have made up their little minds how they want to act, talk and misbehave. Our only excuse we make as parents is “we are trying our best to be good parents”. We will give account to how we train up our children in the things of the Lord”. (Proverbs 22:6)
An article in the news paper was heartbreaking, on families, it said,
“FAMILY TIME DWINDLING AS INTERNET USE EXPANDS”
“INTERNET: T.V. to CELL PHONES, TECH. has shifted family life”!
ARE WE GETTING THE PICTURE!!
We must STOP! And PRAY that GOD OPENS OUR SPIRITUAL EYES TODAY!
Internet, T.V., and cell phones are all entertainment medium.
Everything that communicates thru them is learned by watching. (Seeing and not by hearing) This is very important because the BIBLE emphasizes that “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”. (Romans 10:17)
This distinction is important because all these things have helped to create a society of watchers, not listeners. People who are fascinated by pictures, not educated by words.
Let us not forget that from the beginning of time, Eve SAW that the tree was pleasant to the sight. (Gen. 2:9) and (Gen. 3:6) since then God has been trying to bridge that tragic communication gap; but most people don’t want to hear. “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear”. (Mark 7: 16) Crowds of people Believed in Jesus, only because they SAW his miracles. Jesus said in John 20: 29 “—Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed”.
What ever we watch on Internet or Television including religious programs, we watch it as an entertainment context. (We will always be a spectator.)
Much more time is spend in front of these things, in our whole lives then doing something worth while. Several generations of American children have been brought up on a diet of sadistic entertainment. And we worry more about environmental hazards and toxins on this earth. Yet be so native and complacent to the mental and emotional TOXINS that are destroying the souls of our children. And changes our values and behavior. Remember HOLLYWOOD TOXIC waste flows directly into our homes.
The eyes are windows of the soul and we must keep them pure, because whatever we plant a thought, we reap a deed; when we plant a deed, we reap a habit; when we plant a habit, we reap a character; when we plant a character, we reap a destiny.
“Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life”. (Proverbs 4:23)
We must not let anything be a stumbling block that will bring destruction and ruin to our relationship with God. Jesus said “The thief (devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”. (John 10:10)
No we cannot go back in time. (50 years) But we can guard our hearts by spending more time on spiritual things that pertain to God’s kingdom. Read James 4:7-8, John 17:16-17, 2 Corinthians 6: 16-18, and Romans 6:12-13.
If there is ever a time that we need to get our family’s together to unite and fight evil forces that are coming against God’s people (His Church) it is now!
( If many believers want to have family time , as long as there’s no praying, no Bible study and only a few hours on Sunday service, what can we say of the ungodly or sinners.) Do we ever wonder why our children and spouses are acting the way they do?
Remember the flesh is weak and cannot be trusted. If there is any doubt, DON’T!
We are at War with our flesh. “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the spirit, the things of the spirit. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:5,8)
There are millions of Christians and non-Christians who are “good” people, moral and upright citizens, yet the devil has deceived them to concentrate on secondary matters as their priorities. (Spiritual things come if and when they have time.)
The message God is sending to this present world is not different from the message He sent to Noah’s world. (Believe and live or not– believe and die.)
Noah’s world ignored the message and chose to pay the price of death.
Our responsibility as His church is to preach God’s righteousness and to bear witness against the sins of this world, when we transgress God’s commandments.
God is already bringing to the surface all hidden sins! (We cannot hide anything from God) Anything that is keeping us from wholly committing ourselves to God, no matter how good we try to be, will keep us from giving our all, to God’s righteousness.
“For them being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth”. (
Remember only 8 people were saved in the first world in Noah’s days. (Because no one believed his message from God.) Today God is declaring His word from the beginning.
“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.” (Psalm 119: 160)
This generation is conditioned to expect every thing instant! And to believe false preachers that say, holiness is only in the inside and not on the outside that all humans are going to heaven when we die. (No matter how we live, as long as we are not wicked people.) Believers also believe that living a victorious life is just too much work, the distractions are just too many, and the will or passion to fight evil forces for our children is too hard to focus on. So our spiritual growth shall want it will make us just sit and do nothing and send half hearted prayers when in need and wait for a miraculous instant supernatural life.
God is God and cannot be fooled or mocked. “Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour”. (Proverbs 14: 9) Also “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts”. (Jude 18)
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6: 7-8)
JESUS PIERCING QUESTION IS “Do You Love Me More Than These”? (John 21:15)
SONG
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH: (God saves the righteous)
“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth”. (Gen. 6:5, 11, 12)
Doesn’t it sound like our days today, yet the Bible says Noah was perfect in his generation and walked with God. And when God gave him a command, Noah obeyed. (Gen. 6: 22) Noah did not have it easy, but he remained totally obedient to what God had showed him. (Doing according to God’s specifications He stayed busy, keeping in touch with God, declaring and preaching God’s truth. Walking blameless before God, no matter what was going on around him. Noah obeyed God in EVERYTHING, didn’t want to change a few things to make it easy for himself, and didn’t want to hurry the process a little because it was taking to long. He knew and trusted that if he obeyed in everything, he would survive the flood. He never questioned God how long would he have to endure the stink of all the animals in the ark.
Yes, His obedience carried a high price; it demanded his all for the
“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Psalm 45: 7)
He was rewarded in the end. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith: hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing. (2 Timothy 4: 7-8)
When the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)
(No matter what anyone else thinks or says, God will fulfill our destiny in the midst of these evil days.) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jews first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith. (Romans1:16-17)
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God “. (1 Corinthians 2:4 -5)
This generation needs to know and believe that “this world is not our home, I’ am just a passing thru, my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue; the angels beckon me from heaven’s open door, and I can’t feel at home in this world anymore”.
These words are what kept our brothers and sisters in Christ way back then. They had made up there minds that Nothing in this world was going to separate them from the Love of God. Determined they would make it someday into those pearly gates.
This generation must know and believe that we are pilgrims in this land and our citizenship is in heaven. “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul”. (1 Peter 2: 11)
When we are certain about our final destiny based on our faith in Jesus Christ, we will say as Philippians 3:20. “For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
We have a destiny in this world, knowing the world is temporal. “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Cor. 4: 18)
We have been too comfortable in this world for years. We really don’t want to “go up yonder to be with my Lord. “When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there”.
“O I want to see Him, look upon His face, there to sing forever of His saving grace; on the streets of glory let me lift my voice; cares all past home at last ever to rejoice”.
“Oh won’t we have a time, when we get over yonder, we’ll sing and shout and dance around, when we get over yonder”. These are just a few of the songs that kept our grandparents, and parents giving there all to the Savior and King that would one day call them up yonder. What about this generation? The only time they think about heaven is when God calls our grandparents home, and they vow to go there too. Yet after the funeral, they forget about the preachers talk about heaven.
We have a great call to repentance and a personal approach to God in these end times.
The End Times Will Take Many By Surprise!
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous there, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne? He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches”. (Revelation 3: 19 -22)
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; But is
Longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3: 9)
Through out the years God has send truths to those who were hungry and thirsty for righteousness and His truth. The Apostolic faith from the book of Acts, in 1900, in
Many seekers from all parts of the globe came to see, many out of curiosity but others to receive what God was imparting at that time. It brought complete understanding and revelation to God’s plan of salvation. God will do His part to rescue us from sin, if we humble ourselves before Him and come with a contrite heart. (Psalm 34:18)
God has chosen a people that are called by His Name. A chosen generation that know His passion for righteousness. He has not changed through out the ages; He is the Lord which Art, and was and shall be. From generation to generation!
God will always be a righteous and Holy God, whether people believe it or not.
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break – up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” (Hosea 10:12)
“Before the Lord: For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.” (Psalm 96: 13)
“For the Time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God”?
“And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear”?
