AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD
Posted by: Esther @ 9:23 pm

I personally want to have an encounter with God. I can not afford to live on others experience with God. We will know when we encounter God in such a way that this experience will affect our lives .

God wants us to love him with our total being. He created us for that very purpose. “But now saith the LORD that created thee and formed thee, fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Isaiah 43 :1  God pursues a continuing love relationship with us that is REAL and PERSONAL.” For surely I know the plans I have for you says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope then when You Call Upon ME and Come and Pray to ME, I will hear you . When You Search for ME, You will find ME; If You Seek ME with ALL Your Heart; Jeremiah 29; 11-13. No one seeks after God on his own initiative, God takes the initiative or calls us to pursue a continuing love relationship with us.” Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye ask of the father in MY NAME he may give it you. John 15; 16.

Our calling is spoken of as holy, a high and heavenly calling. A calling to the followship and service of JESUS CHRIST. Our inheritance is so supernatural, so spiritual and beyond the grasp of human apprehensions. It is only by the operation of divine, an omnipotent power, beyond all our thoughts or expectation. This power will be given fully to work only in the man or woman who accepts the purpose of GOD. Receive a supernatural life.(He will do it in his time)

God moves and works among the nations according to his eternal plan and divine schedule. God invites us to become involved with him in his work. It’s an invitation that will adjust our life to God. He will speak to us by his HolySpirit. ”For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. Isaiah 28:11 .”—-behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you ,I will make known my words unto you. Proverbs 1: 23. In Acts 5:32 ” And we are his witnesses of these things and so is also the Holyghost  whom God hath given to them that obey.” So God speaks to us through His HolySpirit and gives us power to be His witnesses. He speaks to us through His Word, the Holy Bible. “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130.”For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12. He will also speak to us through Prayer.(Man must Pray to God if Love For God is to Exist!) As we continue to grow close enough to God in Prayer we can hear him speaking to us

( growing faith and prayer move God , for faith is kept alive by prayer.)

God also speaks to us through our circumstances. We must ask Him to give us a keen sensitivity to our circumstances as we seek His will. God will demand that we depend on Him in every situation, through a relationship with Him. God speaks to us to reveal Himself, His purpose, and His ways. IF we only listen and pursure our own plans and purpose in life, we will miss our divine encounter and appointment with God’s will in our life. (God is incomprehensibly far above us in power and wisdom) He will accomplish His purpose in this world while still giving us the complete freedom to choose and to do what ever we want. As we walk obediently with God, major adjustments will come into our life. ” It is God who works in you both to will and to do in you His good pleasure”. Phil. 2:13 ( Only God can began a work in you) He will wait until we respond to Him by making ourselves Available and Adjusting Ourselves to Him. It is essential that we must focus our attention on God’s plans, purpose and ways rather than our own. We need to reach a point in our life where we have no will of our own. Then God can cause us to desire His will above all else. As we continue seeking, be patient and wait on His timing. (He will mold and shape our character) The spirit of God will be at work IN and AROUND our life. Those who value His presence over all our selfish desires and wait for His purpose despite long periods of preparation, will approach Him with humility .( They will value Him and His plans far above all else)” I love those who Love Me and those who Seek Me  will Find Me” Proverbs 8:17. We will see wonderful signs and miracles right before our eyes. This love relationship with God will make our heart tender and sensitive to respond to God’s slightest prompting. As we seek and pursure spiritual things, and we surrender and give Him the right to help himself to our life anytime He wants, then He will achieve everything He wants in the lives of those we touch. Being willing to follow His lead even if it is a small and insignificant assignment, we do our part and He will do His. Don’t be in a hurry! Don’t try to skip over the relationship to get on with doing God’s work. God is more interested in a love relationship with us, then what we can do for Him. ”Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD — He will teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths” Micah 4:2  We must believe who He says HE IS! And that He can and will do what He says. Once we admit that God is the creator and preserver of all men. For He is everywhere, overseeing, watching, governing everything in the highest interest of man, and carrying forward His plans and executing His purpose in creation and redemption. Adjust our thinking in light of this believe.

Our plans and purposes must be God’s plans and purposes, or we will not experience him working in or through us. His ways will give glory to Himself. People around us will recognize God’s works. We will all come to a crisis in our life that will bring us to a turning point. We must decide what we believe about God. How we respond when we reach this turning point will determine whether we go on to be involved with God or whether we will continue to go our own way and miss what God has purposed for our life. It is a daily experience! Our life will give testimony of what we believe about JESUS. It will require faith, believing on things that only God can do .

We can not show faith and stay where we are. Noah, Abraham, Moses etc. ENORMOUS   changes and adjustments had to be made. We leave behind goals, deals and desires. However adjustments in God’s will is well worth the cost. Until we are ready to make any adjustments necessary to follow and obey what God wants. We will be of little use to God. Sorry if you want to skip the adjustment and go on from believing to obedience. We must all go through adjustmemts  ( jobs, home, finances, etc.) Our thinking , our commitment, our actions, and our beliefs &  relationship with God. We all will go through adjustments.

ABSOLUTE SURRENDER –Total dependence on God. Wait on Him, Trust Him, Love Him, Pay the price, Keep in touch through Prayer. His presence in our life will be a joyous time for us. We will know and never question our encounter with almighty God. When God speaks we know what God has said.

God will make his message clear. We will experience his mighty presence and hear his voice. For we are the temple of the living God, and the spirit of God dwells in us.( 1 Cor. 3:16 ) Our itimate relationship with God is of utmost importance!

“Keep and do his commandments with all your heart and soul and walk in his ways and harken unto his voice: And to be his peculiar people as he has promised you. To make you high above all nations which he has made, in praise , in Name, in honour and that you may be an holy people unto the Lord your God, as he has spoken. (Deut. 26: 16-19)

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Phil. 2:13) “Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever Amen.” (Heb:13 21)

God loves it when we want to linger in his presence. Those times are rare in our modern churches. We are more Time sensitive then Spirit sensitive. We need to be desperate for an Encounter with God . The symptoms are unmistakeable. It will make you sick of church games, mans manipulation and passionless worship.
